Playfora is changing the social commerce game with the world’s most playful and charitable buying and selling experience.
Selling should be fun, so our social commerce app enables approved sellers, or Play Hosts, to list and sell items via exhilarating experiences known as Plays. We also wanted to incorporate a way to give back or help make the world a better place. So, one percent or more of a Play’s total sale proceeds go to charity.
If you’re among the first to run Plays on the platform, you’ve been automatically enrolled in the Playfora Influencer Program. This means you can earn a commission on every new Player that you refer who also completes a Play. Cha-ching!

Playfora is only available for buyers and sellers in the U.S.
Play items sell more quickly than through buy-it-now-style listings, especially during an economic downturn. Plus, they’re way more fun. Plays blend the excitement of a live auction with the ease of selling through fixed, buy-it-now listings — except you always get full asking price for your stuff.
All fees, including Playfora’s six percent processing fee, are included in the cost of your Play's Entry Fees and calculated using the amount you want for your item and the number of Play Spots being sold for an item. So, you get full asking price and the cost to cover shipping. You’re responsible for keeping track of sales taxes at the end of the year.
Just follow the screen-by-screen guidance in the app which includes adding how much you’d like to get for your item and allocating enough to cover the cost of shipping. When you get to the Structure your Play screen, you’ll see Entry Fee recommendations, as well as how many Play Spots you need to fill your Play based on those options. You can also choose a custom Entry Fee.
Play Spots are automatically determined based on the Entry Fee and how much you are looking to receive for your item.
We’ll soon be adding functionality that will allow you to have more than one winner in a Play. In the meantime, you can list each item as a separate Play.
The cost of shipping is factored into your Play Entry Fee. So, it’s technically paid for by Players, but you’ll need to set aside enough funds to ship the item from your Play proceeds.
You’re responsible for managing taxes for your sales at the end of the year. However, we will soon launch the ability to calculate, collect, and remit sales tax on your behalf for Plays, which will also be factored into the Entry Fee and covered by your Players. Together, the taxes and Playfora’s processing fee will not exceed 15 percent.
During set up, you’ll select your Play-4-Good Partner from the list and use a sliding scale to indicate what percentage of your Play’s total proceeds should go to that cause (one percent or more).
At the end of the year, you can include your total charitable contributions as tax deductions. Soon, you’ll be able to track donation progress directly from your profile.
Playfora requires that you ship your item within two business days of the close of the Play and provide your Player with the tracking details. You can choose any shipping carrier you want, but we recommend a premium service, such as USPS Priority Mail, that includes tracking and insurance up to $100. You'll soon be able to print shipping labels right from your app.
You can withdraw funds within one business day of the close of your Play.

If your Play doesn’t close, you can cancel it and refund your Players. Or, if you’re satisfied with the number of Entry Spots you get, and the current sale value of your item, you can close the Play and activate the winner selection at that price.

But the biggest benefit of shopping on Playfora is that you can score items for a fraction of what they would cost on other sites, and you’re helping charitable causes in the process.
Playfora is currently only open to sellers, or Play Hosts, with positive customer reviews and a demonstrated track record of successful selling on other platforms. Also, soon Players will be able to rate Play Hosts on the platform, so you can see what your peers are saying.

There are several ways you can earn credits, or Play Dough, to purchase Spots in Plays. You can earn by referring your friends and family through the Playfora Player Referral Program and by sharing Plays on your social channels.
Watch the Wheel of Playfortune, powered by Random.org, select the winner live after all the Entry Spots have been filled. We use Random.org as an unbiased third party tool that’s considered one of the most reputable for holding random online drawings. To ensure that winner selection is fair, they employ a random number generator method via atmospheric noise.
Your Play Host is required to ship your item within two business days and provide you with tracking details. If the Play Host has not shipped your item within two business days, please contact us.
If a Play item ends up being “significantly not-as-described,” contact us and include your Play details so we can review the case.
If your item doesn’t arrive in accordance with the tracking timeline, notify your Play Host. If it was lost in transit, they can file a claim with the shipping carrier and contact us to refund your Entry Fee.
Because Players only pay an Entry Fee to win an item, Playfora does not have a return policy. All sales are final unless the item is significantly not-as-described. If that happens, please contact us and we can review your options.

Qualifying charities, or Play-4-Good Partners, can automatically receive one percent or more of the total proceeds from thrilling experiences known as Plays. Collecting funding through our Plays might be one of the most effortless ways to raise money for your charity.
Approved sellers, or Play Hosts, list and sell their unique, luxe, or hard-to-find items through Plays and Players, or buyers, pay an Entry Fee to participate. Plays combine the excitement of a live auction with the ease of buying a fixed price item. It’s simple. As long as a Play closes and a Player wins, the designated Play-4-Good Partner receives at least one percent of the final proceeds.
If your organization can be found on CharityWatch, all you need to do is contact us and we’ll add you to Play-4-Good Partner list. Then, your charity will be discoverable by all Play Hosts.
Currently, your charitable funds are available for withdrawal one time per month. However, if you have a need for a different schedule, just contact us. Also, we’ll soon be launching a Charity Portal that allows you to track donations and withdraw money at any time.
Yes! Play-4-Good Partners can sign up as a Play Host, run a Play, and receive 100% of the proceeds. They'll also pay a reduced processing fee.
